BMW (Bayerische Motoren Werke German? And / pol. "Bavarian Motorized Plants") - German company producing cars and motorcycles and scooters under the brand BMW. Is based in Munich, in the state of Bavaria.

History

Concern BMW as its founders quote two people: Gustav Otto and Karl Rapp, who in Munich at the beginning of the twentieth century began independently of each other in economic activities in the field of aviation. Certainly, if they are not the company would never formed. However, a significant part in shaping the company and its subsequent success should be attributed to other people: Franz Josef Poppow - the first Chief Executive, Max Friz - the main constructor and the director of technical, and Camillo Castiglioni - shareholder and owner of the company.
